Housing Navigator – Doors for Denton County
Status: Full-Time, Guaranteed funding for position one year (October 2018-October 2019)
Hours: 40 hours/week
The Doors for Denton County initiative was developed to assist nonprofit housing providers and Case Managers as they work to connect people experiencing homelessness in Denton County to permanent housing opportunities. This will be done primarily through the work of a Housing Navigator, who will act as the liaison between renters, landlords, and service providers. The Housing Navigator fills the gap of timely and effective communication between the nonprofit and real estate sectors. By taking on the role of housing search and placement, the Housing Navigator effectively increases the capacity of case managers at housing and homeless service agencies. https://www.unitedwaydenton.org/sites/unitedwaydenton.org/files/DFDC_Housing%20Navigator_Job%20Description.pdf
Please email cover letter and resume (pdf files only) to Courtney Cross at Courtney@UnitedWayDenton.org with ‘Housing Navigator Application’ in the subject line by 5:00PM, Friday, October 5, 2018.
