Recreation Centers, Civic Center, Senior Center, Libraries, and Fire Stations are air conditioned and may allow access to the centers during normal operating hours*
Fire Stations – Denton, TX
- Fire stations will allow anyone in heat distress to come in and cool down.
Parks and Recreation Centers – Denton, TX
- During periods of extreme cold or hot weather conditions, the Parks and Recreation Department may suspend the requirement to obtain a Rec Pass for persons wishing to access recreation facilities. This provision will allow access to the centers during normal operating hours*.

- Extreme Cold: Where temperatures are forecasted or actually reach 27 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
- Extreme Heat: Where temperatures are forecasted or actually reach 104 degrees Fahrenheit or above.
